Isles of Keo, Book 1: "The Zaro Curse"IoK1 is our current work in progress. It's planned to be the first of a series of action/ adventure/ rpg games set in a classic 2D world.
Planned features:-Engaging story that will develop and release in small ("chapter") segments, hopefully once every 6 months, to once every year.
-Explore progressively more and more open-ended islands, each with their own set of monsters, locations, terrain, culture and story.
-Treasure found on monsters, looted in their lairs, or found in places such as ancient Keoan ruins, will spawn gear with randomly-generated colors, styles, attributes and so on.
-RPG-style travel with close-up, comic-style action battles that mix real-time and strategical elements.
-Collect rial, battle the evil Mezorg and free Zaro to change them back into their true forms.
Progress: Feb 9, 2009:
-Many of the travel sprites have been completed for the template Keo (main character).
- Jacob has been programming my wilderness sprites (grass, dirt, trees) into a program we intend to use to build Keo.
- Just started working with some battle animations.
- Rewriting the story for the first chapter (first release) to match changes we've decided on making.
