We did this game for a competition (YoYo Games "Winter" contest, 2007)
We didn't make the top 3, probably because we ran out of time to do
some beta testing and tweaking for bugs. We did, however, make the
list of honorable mention... which IS quite honorable considering the
large number of contestants.
Story: Each inhabitant of the snowy land called Denill has fallen prey to a power that has taken their "inner flame". Helplessly cold and powerless, a hero is thier only hope. Ineffected by this curse, you are a mage sent from Trisus, a kingdom renoun for sending mage heroes into the rest of
the world to battle darkness. Find armor, gain more powers and defeat wild creatures to uncover and defeat the force that's stolen the inhabitants ability to truly live in this freezing country.
Update: in Feb '09 Jacob updated the game, removing the bugs that kept many players from playing through the end. He also added a "save" feature, so players wouldn't have to play all the way through the game in one session.
