What, someone left you a tip in your truck?  Sounds pretty lame to me, Theresa. 😉

Hello Connie.  Yes, I’ve seen you at CCC before.  It’s nice to meet y’all, thanks for checking out my xanga (well, I can’t say it still, but I can spell it).

I like what you said Connie.  I’ve heard of this before, but I’ve never actually tried putting it into play (praying with this attitude).  Wow, it’s pretty humbling, and liberating, to surrender to and accept God’s perfect design isn’t it?

The Race

I have a story, I hope it will paint a picture.  In August I ran regularly, a few miles a few times a week.  When September rolled around, I had to start working overtime, on nights and weekends, which pretty much stifled my willingness to run.  I had more than 6 hours of sleep for once on Wednesday night, giving me enough energy to run on Thursday (yesterday).  Ah, I don’t know why I punish my self with such little sleep…   Anyway, as you might guess, it was very hard to run when I knew my body wasn’t willing to help me out a little.  I was dying when I was less than a fourth of the way through with my run.  I planned on giving up at the half-way point.

The road I run down, out in the middle of nowhere, is lined with chain link fences on either side.  As I was planning to give up, a couple of stray dogs showed up on the other side of the fence.  They wanted to race .  Hahah, it was so much fun.  I was tired, and I could tell the dogs were tired.  I wouldn’t let them beat me!  I ran so stinkin’ hard!

I thought about it later, how suddenly a boring trail became so exciting to run.  One of the hardest physical endeavors suddenly became the funnest…  the funnerest…   agh, the most fun.

Well, I’ll let you come up with your own spiritual parallel for this story…  I don’t want to steal your interpretation by giving mine.  God is so, so good!  I’m super-interested to here what others think.

Just a nice little ending:  It turns out, I beat the dogs in our race.

Haha, yeah, some freak left a tip in my truck! Can you believe that, some kind of stalker of some sort :)…

Nice story, it’s so wonderful how God speaks through our everyday, mundane experiences, just as long as we’re willing to listen, He’s there to speak! I would compare this story to a particular verse: “…let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easliy entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked our for us” (Hebrews 12:1) I always quote that verse, haha! But yeah, that’s awesome, I think that in our walk with Christ, when we’re so willing to give up, He’s always there to lift us back up. He helps us to throw these hindrances off and run free with Him. Awesome analogy, me like! Haha, see you tonight Adam!

Hello Adam, I’m Sarah, a friend of Thersa’s. Wow. Your faith in God is inspirational. I can tell you’re a great Man of God. Keep your faith in the Lord strong. He has a BIG plan for you in life. =) Wow. Great, inspurational story. Hmm. When we’re ready to give up, God provides the way out like He always does. He is always with us, no matter what, just like when He was running the race with you, and providing  you with strength. =) Praise God. Best wishes for a great year! =) Take care of yourself, and stay safe. MY prayers are with you. =D

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

May God be with you always. Shine for Jesus!

God bless! <>< Much love, my Brother-in-Christ.
