You can never rely on people for guidance..  well, I guess I should say you can’t always expect people to point you in the right direction.  No-duh right?  The way things are twisted…  it’s one of the finer arts: human manipulation…  especially when God is involved.  It’s brilliant.  Yes, it’s totally wrong, but it’s brilliant.  People see what they want, they don’t see what God wants, and yet, they involve Him in thier selfish plot.  Is there anything so evil?  Forget accepting/promoting/living in sin, but also backing it by the name of the one who died for the sin?  Hahah, aw man…


Let me encourage all of you.  Spend time alone with God, hours a day if you have to.  Let Him take you to the place where you just love to love people because you love Him so much.  Understand what he wants for you.  Lay in His presence somewhere until you couldn’t be more sure.  Otherwise you’ll be living out what other people want, mixed in with what you want.  Make decisions based on reality, not based on your manipulated feelings. 


Thanks God, I needed that.  One individual is beating me up at this church I’m leaving in a month.

    Amen I can’t say i understand your sitation, but i don kow how if feels to find out the ones you trusted the most and looked to for leadership the most were using you and never expected you to amount to much in the Lord any way it hurts….especially when you knew God called you to that area…. Praise the Lord for giving us his word to guid us and help us press through

    Bonus points for Adam… There is nothing better than spending time with God. That is the best part of my day, right b4 I go to sleep when I’m reading my bible and praying to God. God is just sooo amazing. God Bless.

    Hey Adam,

     Haven’t chatted in a while.   I love the post though.  I know that I have been guilty of being on both sides of that situation – of being the one listening too much to what others think, and of being the one telling someone my opinion – then seeing what I’ve done and breaking down into tears in prayer later.

    *sigh*   Why do we make things so difficult on ourselves?

    Hey bro.. i’m still in Cali… i like this song a whole lot.  Sounds really good.  Anyhoo.. just took a minute to read your post.. yeah…. that stinks pretty bad… some people you’ve gotta let what they say just go over your head and not let it hit your heart.  Belive me.. that’s easier said than done but it’s way better.  You still have people in your life that care about you and hold you up in prayer… sometimes God can speak through them to you.. but you will be able to discern with your own heart and if God uses it.. He will speak through it to you.   Love ya man…  see ya soon.. in a day or so…
