Maybe not many or even any of you know him, but my younger brother, Andrew (who’s in the Air Force) is in town.  Since he’s been here, he’s uncovered a decision he has to make.  All of the sudden he’s dating a girl he’s known from before (who lives here) and… they decided to get married… like next weekend or so.

Crazy as it sounds, I think it’s the right decision to make.  He’ll be in England for the next 2 years, and they don’t want to wait around without each other in the mean time when they both already know this is right.  I think it’s perceived as being now or never.

I can see that Andrew’s life is really on track due to the maturity that comes with having to be in the military.  It’ll be good.  As I see it, either he’ll spend his energies, time and money on things of this world, or he’ll be married and get caught up in showing the love that I know he’s got in him to show.  I compare him with my older brother, Aaron, who’s in the Army…  wasting his time and money…  totally dreading every day… wishing things were different…  wishing he had some motivation to change himself.  Andrew can’t take that road if he has more to live for.  I think a mature man needs a woman.  Strangely but honestly, my little bro is a mature man now.

Possibly funny: this girl’s name is Jessica.  Maybe Andrew saw that I have a Jessica and wanted one.  Their moms both live in Florida.  Heh. Massive confusion.  Not really.  Just goofy.

Anyway, looks like I’ll have a sister-in-law in like a week.

The only weirdness is that (possibly) my brother’s best friend dated and was considering getting married to this same girl a while back.  The friend said he’ll be fine with whatever Andrew and Jessica wanna do, but still feels stabbed in the back.  Yeah, ouch.  Sounds like a chick flick or something.  My Jess says “too much drama”…  that we should bust out the video camera and send the tapes to Fox.

Good for your brother. Understand that decision. And boy does the military and a woman, make you grow up and mature. That’s awesome!

    Funny little tv show idea.

“If a guy could be “that awesome” or whatever, I think # 20 should read more like this for him:

“If she’s mad at you, apologize because SHE is probably just retarded.””

Well at least you have the thinking right…the woman is always right…and I’m not being sarcastic or funny, it’s totally true. I’m almost always right! 😉

Anyways, glad that I can be an encouragement. It will be hard for them, but they will love it at the same time. Are they going to Lakenheath? There are a bunch of cool ways that they can serve together as well in England. I know that serving together has been one of our favorite things to do to grow and learn about one another.

Yeah you should ask. Would be nice to know where your brother is gonna live. It’s fun when we get to be right, but there is an art to being right and how to act with it, without being a nagging pain in the butt. Very few can master it…lol.
