Discipline is like 43 ninjas

I’m not really trying to write so often…  I just feel like it lately I guess.

I have 1 of 6 acts memorized.  From that I’ve learned a great lesson in discipline…  or should I say, I will have to learn such a lesson very soon.   It took me an hour or so to get 6 lines down.  The longest act is 12 lines and I have 10 days to get this thing in my pocket.  Actually dress rehearsal is in 5 days.  If I keep crankin, maybe I can get most of the play kinda-memorized by then.  It’s one of those awesome opportunities I have to know that I can’t do this on my own and I’ll need to rely on Christ to strengthen me in order to accomplish.

This thing of discipline is so amazing though….   I bet with an hour I could learn and memorize every chord’s major and minor fingerings on the piano.  With the same hour I could memorize a chapter of scripture.  Most people are so lazy.  I hope I can pull myself out of the lifestyle where I do nothing all the time through this sculpting process on my will.  I’d be like 10-times cooler if I made time to practice something for just an hour every day.  haha.

Band name for the day is:  “Silence”
It’s a contradiction for a musician to be quiet; so remains a picture of the Lord’s inspiration and gift being the music, not the musician’s own work.

Wow!  You have been posting a lot lately…where are my subscription emails lately?  hmmmm….

About the kiddos, you’ll never get the sin out.  I’m sure you know this already, but one of the best parts of being a Christian parent is acknowledging that I’m not perfect and teaching the kids how to live in grace and lean on Him.

It’s cool about the play.  I did musicals in highschool.  Way fun!

Thanks for the prayer.  That means a ton.
