In Toccoa

Jess and I are back where we spent our first few days together, again, in Northern-Georgia.  Her friend Becca is having her senior resitle in a few hours, so we came up to experiance it and get a last meeting with Jess’ friends here before the rest of them are gone, out into some kind of real world.

I have to admit I’m a bit ‘crumpled’…

Lastnight we left Sebring at 8pm.  I got the urge to keep driving through the night to avoid day-traffic in Atlanta and through the area we wrecked Jess old car, last time we were up here.  At around 7am, we finally got to our destination.  I didn’t know I could do that…  going on 25 hours is a hard thing, especially when the last 11 of them are in a dark and comfey vehicle with my wife next to me.  We only got like 5 or 6 hours of sleep.

We get to spend our time in a cabin up in the woods that a kind couple from our church own, which is a huge blessing.  It’s got like 4 floors, a jakOOOzie and a hot tub outback overlooking some forest hills and a stream.  We’ll get all Friday to hang out there and watch TV (or something), but unfortunately, we gotta leave early Saturday to make it back in Sebring by 7.  With the hours of driving today, from the cabin to Toccoa Falls College and back, that makes too much driving for me.  This week reminds me of driving from Arizona to Florida….  but we’re having fun.
