My bro and I have been working on Skylands of Darmanis with most of our spare time since the summer of 2011.  We’ve been watching it slowly become a game that we’re not only having a blast creating, but that we can’t wait to play ourselves.  Today marks a major milestone as we take the project public and see what kind of reaction potential fans and followers may have to the game’s concept and development.  We have started our Kicsktarter Campaign.  I feel pretty hopeful about raising the backing we need to fund this project, which would make it our “full time” project through the end of 2013, hopefully paving the way for more projects.

 

When we were kids growing up, I invented up two holidays to kind of fill this void of holidays that I felt were making March and April take too long to make it through the rest of the school year.  The first was “Merry March 9th” and involved the giving of an old item you own to everyone in the family.  The second was “Appy April 8th” and was a silly Apple-themed holiday and was supposed to be accompanied with different apple foods.

So today, on “Merry March 9th”, I present this project; which to me is an old treasure, but to everyone else I hope is a new treasure.

In 30 days, I’m praying we can celebrate “Appy April 8th” with some actual meaning for once… thankful that this funding campaign is like an apple seed, planted to grow a tree that will continue to provide.
