Lastnight was so awesome!  Sean and I got to do worship with some pretty good musicians for a local “let’s-get-a-bunch-of-churches-together-and-just-worship” at the park. The electric violinist was awesome.  I talked to him about him adding some tracks on the song’s I’m writing/recording now.  He told me to give him 2 weeks because he has a bunch of other gigs and recordings to do.  I guess being good at something means you have time for little else.  Hmm…

Since my church fell apart, it’s been a few months since I’ve been able to dive headfirst into worship.  I’m not talking about “doing my part” (i.e. being sincere), I’m talking about having a time when he’s shown up beyond all doubt and moved in power.  Oh my gosh…  I had no idea what we were playing, what we were singing, or even where we were.  I was just so lost in his love.  I want to go back there forever.  To imagine, that that wasn’t even a taste of heaven…

If not for my own feeling like I have a purpose here on earth (Christian pride?), I must reach out to the lost to show them how wonderful you are. 

I always doubted the power in music.  I believed that all music had was the ability to move emotions.  Well, that’s pretty discouraging seeing as how I know music is my…  um “calling”, if you will.  Ahhh, thank you Lord for the encouragement.  I remember that music is what brought me to your throne to begin with.  I can now belive that I’ll not only have a purpose (whoopie, look at me eveyone) but that I’ll be effective as someone whom you’re living through.
