I’ve been studying pegan symbols with hopes of understanding what they mean, simply because rumors of corruption have provoked my curiousity. It’s provided lot’s of interesting facts, which maybe I’ll explain later.
Other things I’m finding are simply frustrating. Throughout this one book I’m reading, the author tells the history of a symbol, and then has pages of similar symbols in modern culture & media. The author uses LOTS of scripture, old and new testament to back up the fact that symbols are an abomination to God.
What I don’t get is myself in all of this. Trying to create a cool website and symbol for it… maybe… 10 years or more ago when I was just a kid, I created a replica of the Free Mason symbol, without knowing it.
When I found out, maybe a year and a half ago I quickly changed the website to “Right Eyed”, to go along with a testomony of looking at things through God’s perspective, or the “Right” perspective/ “Eye”, in order to reach the most lost souls as possible through love.
The right eye is the symbol for the Sun… while the left eye is for the moon, in many pegan practices. If you know much about me and my fascination with how the “Sun God” is everywhere in modern day (Raisin Bran, Snapple, Coca-Cola, Mario 3, all over architecture & business logos…), my last intent was to create a “hidden imagery” of the very thing I feel like’s recieved false imporance in our culture. Among the Egyptian’s Osiris, India’s Shiva, Yoga teachings and expecially in the modern Mason cult, the sun and all of it’s symbols are glorified.
I’m not really astonished or convicted or anything, but why would my creative nature, both when I was innocent and in recent days, produce anything remotely close to a symbol for evil? All I want to do in my whole life is just bring glory to the God that’s worthy. It’s just strange to me. I had to write this down…
Jesus says he is the only way to salvation yet he purposely disillusions us so that we will go to hell:
Jesus explains that the reason he speaks in parables is so that no one will understand him, “lest . . . they . . . should understand . . . and should be converted, and I should heal them.” Matthew 13:10-15
Jesus explains why he speaks in parables to confuse people so they will go to hell. Mark 4:11-12
Actually, darkness imitates the Light in order to confuse.
It’s not strange to me that evil symbols resemble those meant to glorify God.
🙂
Not sure if you’ll read this, but in response:
Someone like me, who’s not learning piano, looks at piano sheet music and only becomes more confused. On the other hand, a learning pianist is enabled to play because of the sheet music. Same thing here.
Jesus says in Matthew 12 that he gave the parables so we WOULD know truth. Just as we teach kids stories to learn lessons, he teaches us. The parables are for one who’s learning to be able to learn better… but as he explains there, to those aren’t learning, parables aren’t understood.
Seek and you’ll find, knock and the door will be opened. Please give it a shot. I’m here to help if you have questions… please…
I guess it would be frustrating but God always knows your heart so it’s not like you’re evil or you’re creating something evil. If you think of curse words, they are only sounds coming out of our mouth. I don’t think they are bad themselves but the intentions behind them generally are negative. An item isn’t bad. It’s the heart that’s bad and the intention behind an item that is evil.
That’s true. “The the pure, all things are pure”. I guess it was just amusing… kinda strange.
